Decoratin' and other dull stuff that adults do..

Well there you go.. for the first time in my life I have actually gone and bought stuff for 'decorating'. Last night M and I went to B&Q at Beckton to shop for 'paint'. 70 odd quid later and we have an array of paint, paint trays, rollers and pad thingummies. We even mixed the bathroom paint to a specific dulux colour shade that M liked. The plan is the paint the bathroom in a kind of greeny blue colour and the kitchen in a light terracotta. (We stuck to plain white for the ceiling coz we're boring.) This is a new step for me, in the past my only exposure to decorating has been a kind of forced labour for my parents. I really do feel 30 for once.. bah!

Last weekend was spent clearing out the big balcony, and buying/planting seeds in the hanging baskets and troughs. On the upside I did get to smash the proverbial out of a tatty old bench, which was quite satisfying. One wonders if any of the seeds will actually germinate, we'll have to see!

Of course DIY is quite a dangerous activity and accidents could happen... to clocks...

Never done the painting lark myself, sounds like work for decorators to me...
