STUPID STUPID STUPID

It looks like Cisco's attempts to prevent disclosure of a security weakness have backfired badly. You'd have thought they'd have had more common sense than to try and censor a security researcher, but apparently not. What would have been 'just one more weakness in vulnerabilities databases' has now been brought to the attention of legions more people than previously. Combine that with the fact that most hackers are very anti-censorship, and Cisco have effectively guaranteed that plenty of researcher time will be spent on trying to develop exploit code for the vulnerability.
